We regularly use templates on github tickets, and have recently setup some non developers in zenhub who should not have any access to github. We want to set them up with templates for creating tickets to standardise how they report issues and feature requests
Is it possibly to define and use templates on zenhub tickets?
If not is it currently on the roadmap?
We don’t currently have templates available for Zenhub Issues. While it’s not on our near-term roadmap, I’ll add your request to the list for future consideration.
I second the request to support Issue Templates. In the meantime, I have two question:
Is there a somewhere a place where community members can view all feature requests: those on the roadmap and those that are not? It would be great to be able to see that list and give members the ability to show their interest by “liking the post”.
Since there is no way to use templates in ZenHub tickets, are there any workarounds? We use templates primarily to add prefixes to the titles, i.e., [BUG], [STORY], and labels. If the ZenHub issue/subissue quick-add forms at least had the ability to add labels, that would help motivate us to start using the ZenHub issue forms.
We are in-between customer-facing portals right now, we’re evaluating options to bring that back to the community. I’ll post here again when we have a solution…
If you could DM me your email address, I can add your feature request so that it’s associated with the company you work for. That helps us with prioritization…
The best workaround I can give you is to use our “Duplicate issue” feature as follows:
Create a Zenhub Issue with the prompts you want and name it “Bug Template”.
Find it on your board, click the three dot menu at the top of the card
Select “Duplicate Issue”
You’ll then be able to update the title and description of the new issue - all information included in the template issue will be included.
