Timeline migration: hot steaming mess

So, I knew this was on your agenda - not ours - and I was kind of reluctant, and also unable, to interact with this before the timeline was something we actually have accessible in the user interface.

But holy smokes, what a mess.

  • Github issues are created, and closed in the name of employees that left the company long time ago.
  • This fills up the work tracker, and standup views with antiquated items.
  • Epics are no longer linked to their projects, maybe if they are not in the same workspace?
  • Epics cannot even be linked to their projects.
  • Sorting the timeline by end date does not really work, there seems to be a pattern behind it, as some projects are sorted earlier when they have epics that conclude soon, but since the two no longer are linked, it is impossible to see.

So, I really hope this is still a process and that roadmap view does not just disappear by the end of the week.
Do you have some real users testing this, or is it all internal feedback?

I hope you realize that there is some serious momentum to the changes you are making that organizations cannot always spend resources to keep up with. A planning tool should be reliable across longer periods of time, first and foremost.

Hi Thomas,

First off, apologies for the interruption to your flow. Thousands of organizations have been migrated so far, we had an extensive early access program and what you’ve described is not been what we’ve seen.

I’ll have the team look at this today. If you could email me directly, I’d like to confirm a few things: george@zenhub.com
